27 Dresses, okay maybe not that many!
Picking a bridesmaids dress can be a lot of fun because there are so many options to choose from: Long dress or short? Color? Will the bridesmaid dresses complement yours or contrast? Will each bridesmaid even have the same dress? And when it comes down to it will you find a dress that looks good on everyone? Here are a few ideas to help direct your search, with the added bonus that it is always fun to look up dresses online!

Some brides like their bridesmaid dresses to mirror their own, either in length or neckline. This is great if you are going for a more uniform or cohesive group look. Here is an example of how classy a strapless looks on a variety of people.

Here are dresses that are similar in color and length, but that are differently designed. Not everyone feels comfortable in a strapless while some think that it makes a dress more elegant. No matter your opinion, different dress designs is a way to appease all body types while distinguishing your bridesmaids from the rest of the guests.
These are a few more examples of bridesmaid dresses all with bows on them. Bows are so cute and in fashion right now. They are a nice and simple way to bring a girly flare to your dress without doing anything drastic.

Wedding Favors
Wedding favors are a great way to add your own personal touch to your wedding while simultaneously thanking your guests for attending. Whether you decide to make your own wedding favors or buy them in bulk, it is important that they look nice and neat. Many couples enjoy putting their names on the favors with the date of the wedding to give them a more personal touch.

Edible wedding favors such as candy or mints can be easily packed and made to match a color theme.

Some great ideas for do-it-yourself gifts are to make your own soap, bath salts or candles. These are all relatively inexpensive and do not require too much work.

Beach Themed Wedding
One of the best things to do in July is to go to the beach and soak up the sun. A beach wedding can be a great way to enjoy the summer months and to incorporate a timeless theme. You can bring in different aspects of nature such as water and sea shells while combining those with traditional beach symbols such as boats and lighthouses. If you are planning a summer wedding why not enjoy a little bit of sunshine?

From the bouquet to the wedding cake, shells are universally a fabulous addition to any part of the wedding because they can bring everything together, or at least a sense of cohesion.

Pearls and weddings seem to go hand in hand due to their color, but also classy reputation. Having a few as part of a center piece can turn a casual wedding into something a little more fancy.

The best part about a summer wedding with a beach theme is the fact that you are guaranteed an excellent view!

Bouquet Ideas and Meanings
No matter the season, bouquets are elegant and a vital part of pulling the wedding together. When choosing the perfect bouquet it is a great idea - and a lot of fun- to look at flower meanings. Flowers can help incorporate a theme or can be selected by personal preference. When choosing which type of flower to put into your wedding bouquet keep the following in mind:
Image found: www.philgift.com |
Roses are classic. Red symbolizes love and passion, white is purity and pink may symbolize happiness. Yellow, while a lovely color, symbolizes friendship and jealousy. This may not be exactly what you are trying to convey on your wedding day.

Lilies are such an elegant flower, often symbolizing purity.

Tulips, all of the rage in Holland during the seventeenth century, are such a cheerful flower. In fact, a yellow tulip can mean happiness or kind thoughts. The red tulip symbolizes perfect love which I think is very sweet.

Orchids are such an exotic flower and can spice up any arrangement. Pink orchids are known for refinement among other things.

Erica and Tommy Wedding
jpb designs recently had one of its weddings published in
Baltimore Bride! It is an honor and a great way to showcase beauty of the
Erica and Tommy wedding.
The wedding took place at the American Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.
The bouquet and center pieces incorporate cheerful yellows and deep reds, traditionally seen in autumn. This late September wedding did a great job of transitioning from summer to fall through its use of color.

great wedding hairstyles out there. Here are some suggestions as the summer
heats up!

Many brides enjoy incorporating a clip, tiara or veil into
their hairstyle.

Flowers and headbands can also add a nice touch to an
otherwise simple updo.

Updos look great in the summer time while simultaneously keeping you cool and your hair out of your face. Another plus being you don't have to worry about the humidity as much.

Do not be afraid to keep it simple and classic, or to try
something new that you see in a magazine. Just make sure to test out the new look
first to make sure you like it before your wedding day.
